The Breeding
We only breed on a small scale, at the moment we have something like one or two litters a year.
The females with which are bred, are tested for PKD and HCM when they had an age of one year (only through veterinaries who are participating in the health programme against HCM in cats). Afterwards they will be tested annually on FeLv, FiV and HCM.
So far and in the close future the combination choices are selected in consultation with Machteld of cattery Bubastis.. She has studied cat geneticist and has the knowledge of the healthy from a lot of registered Siberian cats.
Siberian cats have a stable character, but the first 13 weeks (particularly between 8 and 13 weeks) of a cat live remains an important and sensitive period for the character shaping of your future friend. The most important task at educating the kittens in that period is for the mother cat. Her education is almost irreplaceable by people and of an very important value.
We give your future friend a good start with a lot of love, attention, affection, the best food and a lot of play possibilities. We don’t use cages, the kittens have their own playroom with enough space and climbing trees. Because we are small cattery, each cat or kitten gets the necessary and right attention and education.
The kittens will be vaccinated twice and are wormed regularly. They have a pedigree and a health notebook.
